This Fall’s Bag
An informal poll of friends, culminating with local fashionista and vintage maven MD this morning on the street, confirms that this is my bag for fall:
which I’ve accessorized with this scarf:
Confession: I picked the bag to complement the scarf. Like the bag; love the scarf.

I love your bag for Fall! The punchy green color is wonderful! In fact, I am in desperate need of new bag as my two standbys are probably nearing the end of their time in circulation (handles are beginning to fray, etc.,). Alas, the only bag I have found that I love is from Fossil and is almost $200… which is quite a bit more than I want to spend. If you don’t mind my asking, where did you purchase your bag?

Lovely!

Thanks! Bag and scarf are both from Target. Cost together was about $50.

Thanks for the info! I had all but given up on Target, as I bought a wonderful purse there (that I still get compliments on) about 2 years ago, but since then, all of their purses have looked horribly fake and of poor quality, so I have stayed away. But my two go-to bags are on their last legs, so I need to find replacements soon!

The purse is plastic, but survey says it looks OK.

On your suggestion, I hit up Target this weekend and found 3 purses that all looked like real leather (though I know they’re not)! One of them is green croc, which I thought was the same as the one you pictured, but now I think it might be slightly different. I also found one that was similar enough in style to my old reliable Target purse that I can now retire it without fear. It’s not really important to me if a purse is really leather (for $25, I’m not expecting that), but when it looks oddly synthetic and flimsy, then it’s a no go. I was really happy with the quality that I found this time round, so thanks for the heads up.
