Cookie Monster and Colbert

At The Edge of the American West, a Cookie Monster clip from The Colbert Report: Stephen Colbert is upset that cookies are no longer the number one snack of children in the US. He blames Cookie Monster, who comes to defend himself. Letter of the Day on Sesame Street, his appearance on NPR, and now this; Cookie is definitely my favorite monster.

    I’ve always been a Grover fan, myself.

    My sister is also a big Grover fan. Her young son resisted all her efforts to endear Grover to him, and used names for Elmo and Cookie Monster long before he used them for Grover.

    I love my sister, but I’ve always found Grover rather annoying (sorry!), and empathized with that poor man in the restaurant.
