Lesson in Humility
I took 4yo Drake and 2yo Guppy bowling this morning. A local alley is very kid friendly–they put up bumpers in the gutters, have a ramp to roll the ball down, and serve lunch at the lane.
Guppy won. And not by a little, either. He had 92 to my 74 to Drake’s 60. Was it beginner’s luck? Who knows? But I think I’ll stick to bowling with little kids if I can only manage a 74 WITH BUMPERS.
Sheesh.

someday, spring for a Wii.
I know they’re not cheap (we received ours as a gift), but you can ‘bowl’ with the kids and although you’ll still probably lose (at least, I usually lose) both your score and the kids’ scores will be vastly improved… you’ll actually feel like you know what you’re doing.
Then again, my wife and I consistently struggle with how much to let the kids use the thing. We don’t want to create video game addicts, like their dad.

I love bowling with bumpers. You can work on your “ricochet action shots”.

Wow. You suck. I went bowling a few weeks back with my gal pals in Atlanta, and my 3 game average was 136. Not great, but that WAS without bumpers and with a few beers on board. Also, I got 7 strikes that day. HOO-YAH!

I’d still think you can beat Obama.
