No Good Deed
I brought the Sound of Music soundtrack home from the library for 4yo Drake. He plays it over and over, start to finish, morning till night.
I think I’m going to have to have it surgically removed from my brain.
Ergh.

My brother once played the James Bond “soundtrack” (the album with all the title songs. “for your eyes only” etc.) back to back for three months.
Even worse, once when my mom was coming to get me at college (to go home for the summer), she didn’t feel like driving down by herself so she asked him to come with her. He agreed on the condition that he get to choose ALL the music played THERE and BACK. Who would be stupid enough to agree to a deal like that? You know what I had to listen to for the EIGHT hour drive home???? BILLY IDOL. His three albums (who knew there was more than one?). Over and over and over again. It ruined him forever to me. I still puke a little whenever “White Wedding” enters my mind.

My mother used to get drunk and play a 45 of “It’s a Small World After All” (purchased at Disneyland) over and over during the wee hours of the morning. I think I grew up in a David Lynch movie.
